Pet A Burning Dog

Pet A Burning Dog Pet A Burning Dog
what’s wrong with my dog? :( ?

My dog eats about 1-2 times a day and he’s really really skinny. you can see his ribs. :( its like all of his fat is burnt off. what is wrong with him and what can i do to help him? the other dogs are acting really strange and won’t start barking when i go to pet the sick one and they always get mad when i go to pet this dog.
6 years old
male
yellow lab

There are a few possibilities.

You might not be feeding him enough food.
The food you are feeding him might just be crappy food.

However I would assume you feed all the other dogs the same and you didn;t mention any of them having this problem so the most likely option is that the dog has some sort of condition that prevents it from absorbing the nutrients from its food.

Take it to the vet and get him checked out.

what is a cheap pet that doesn’t smell?

when i say cheap i mean i can get the pet some toys r whatever it needs for less than 100. i really want a hamster ot turtle but my mom won’t let me. and i don’t want a lizard or a snake. something that i could play with–atleast a little..i just want a pet. i’ve wanted a dog since i was two but my mom won’t let me have one and she won’t let me have a hamster ot turtle cuz she says they smell but i was going to keep it clean and in my room. please help me. i just want a pet. something that a 13 year old girl would like. thanks sooo much guys!!
btw..no cats!! i hate cats plus my mom is allergic

to tell you the truth no animal is less than 100 dollars , with everything . the care of an animal is the most important thing, and if you don;t have enough money for the animal you shouldn’t get an pet , i ‘d suggest maybe a gerbil , ( they are a little bit squirmy) or you can get like a land frog, or a Water frog , a newt , or some type of fish , but if you get any of these animals they need a large enough cage. or maybe a rabbit, or a Guinea pig, they are low mantiance animals when it comes to the cage part don’t buy one of those small little cages get a 2 – 3 level cage so they can run around never get a baby one, they die quickly , and you’ll be spending around $15 dollars a month for food and toys ,the food is quite cheap the toys are more money if you wanted to get a rabbit or a Guinea pig get like a hammock or a bed for them and any kind of animal has an odor but what you do is –> buy aspen pine bedding , buy odor control for the cage every time u clean it spray it on the bottom of the cage , put the bedding on top spray some non toxic odor control spray on top of the bedding and your good to go!
    some tips-
rabbits,Guinea pigs, and gerbils are very delicate animals and you can’t drop them , but they do loved to be played with, and watched , dont give them to many fruits and vegetables cause it causes them to have diehrea and constipation , and that’s when it starts to smell. if you wanna give them treats i suggest alfalfa ,or hay. those little dried carrots or those other treats.and you have to let the animals run around in a room for about 30 minutes to an hour in a wide animal proof room , meaning no places where the animal can hide or escape you can buy a large enough pen for them to run around in, and during the summer (not on hot days) you can put them outside in a hut with a gate around it large and tall enough so they can’t get away . they cost 100 dollars and up.

    some smaller animals -
    rats
    &
    mice

(rats and mice should be cared for the same way you care for rabbits and Guinea pigs).

    an expensive animal –

    chinchilla

they go for 100 to 400 dollars depending on where you get one and whether its a female or male and what color it is , the chinchilla requires at least an hour of play (not in a gate ) running in a chinchilla proof room.and they cant be fed veggies or fruits it also causes constipation and direareha they enjoy oatmeal (only give them a few pieces a day).

if you have any more questions ill be happy to awnser

    hope it helps! :) !

Pet Store – A Place That Every Child Needs To Visit To Gain Love For Animals

A pet shop will carry food for any animal you might have such as dogs and cats, fish, ferrets, reptiles and rodents. Because every cat and dog is different, stores carry a wide variety of food, allowing you to choose the brand and ingredients most suited for your pet. The pet shop will also have toys and treats for your pet to make their life more interesting.

In the larger stores, there are many varieties of pets. You won’t be able to find monkeys or alligators but some pet shops do stock exotic animals for the pet lover who likes unusual pets. For example, some interesting pets you may find are spiders, turtles, hermit crabs, ferrets and snakes. Regardless of your preference of pets, you will be able to find a store that sells just the animal you’re looking for.

We all know how children love to go to the pet store and browse around. They are just amazed at the amount of animals they see and can spend ages just watching the animals. The aquariums full of pretty, colorful fish are also a popular attraction. Being introduced to animals by going to the pet shop is a wonderful way to create a love of creatures whether they are big or small. Socializing baby animals with children is an excellent way to train them how to respond and also provides the human contact that is needed by the pets in a pet store.

Online pet stores are quickly found by browsing. You may not want to buy a pet, but the accessories and supplies can be a real bargain. There are online pet shops that offer discounts for repeat purchases and have competitive prices. Some internet pet stores offer a bigger variety of foods and accessories than a local pet store. And don’t be surprised to find that you can even buy bulk supplies.

One benefit of an online pet store it that it may have all your supplies in one place where as a local pet shop may not be able to carry such a high inventory. Pet houses, litter boxes of all sizes shapes and designs can become space invaders; this is why online stores are able to offer a huge variety for the consumer. They ship from the manufacturer, which enables them to supply most items. You still have the same quality but have a bigger selection than a pet shop with limited space. You can also find pet medications online whereas a pet shop only carries a small amount.

    Summary:

Pet stores are wonderful places for children to visit to gain a love of animals. While you may not be able to actually touch the animals online, the variety of supplies is usually greater than the local store.

Abandoned Dogs Trained for the Hearing Impaired

I read an interesting article online the other day about what a non-profit organization in Japan
is doing about the problem of abandoned dogs. This organization, although they cannot rescue all
the dogs, have opened a facility in Yokohama, Japan that will implement a training program for these abandoned dogs to be trained as service dogs for the deaf.

Hearing dogs for the deaf are trained to alert deaf people to sounds, both inside and outside of the home. Sounds such as fire/smoke alarms, telephones, door knocks, doorbells, oven timers, alarm clocks, etc. that we on a daily basis take for granted. Without the dog a person is dependent on someone else for this.

It has been shown that a hearing dog will increase a deaf persons’ feelings of security and confidence.

Organizations involved in dog training programs for hearing dogs, look for these dogs in rescue centers, private homes, breeders and pounds. They are always looking for new sources especially with rescue groups.

They look for dogs that have a friendly disposition, alertness, intelligence good temperament and confidence. Eventually the hearing dog will have to be reliable in all types of situations. They also look for people that can foster these potential hearing dogs. Like the seeing eye dog these dogs first need to be socialized and obedience trained.

Although a hearing dog can be trained in as little as three months, most dog training programs for a hearing dog takes closer to a year.

Obedience training and socialization is quite extensive.

The dogs are then normally trained in a home-like environment to recognize and react to sounds that will be found in the new owners home.(Telephones and doorbells are different in every persons home). Part of the training will take place in the new owners home with the dog and the trainer.

When training is completed the new owner and dog do have follow-up with the trainer to make sure everything is going ok.

The new facility in Japan will also be training young people on how to become hearing dog trainers.

It is believed that approximately 10,000 people with hearing disabilities are waiting for a service dog, so not only dogs are needed but trainers as well. The students will undergo a six month training course, part of which requires them to work with a potential hearing dog for three hours a day.

Once a student completes the course they can obtain support to further their education and hopefully find a job in their related field.

Again not all abandoned dogs are rescued since this organization looks for the above mentioned characteristics in potential hearing dogs.

The agency is hoping that this new facility will raise the publics awareness of the plight of the abandoned dogs and the use of hearing dogs.

Hearing dogs have legal access to all public places when accompanied by their masters. They often wear a bright orange leash and collar to identify them. Hearing Dogs may accompany their owner into public places, such as grocery stores and restaurants since they have the same legal access rights as a Guide Dog for the blind.

So who is eligible for a hearing dog? Priority is given to candidates over 18 years of age who have at least a 65 decibel hearing loss(unaided). Also priority is given to a person living alone or with another deaf or hard of hearing person but a deaf person living with a hearing person will also be considered. The candidate must also be physically able and willing to care for and continue the training of the dog.

Yes dogs are truly an amazing creature.
