what are the symptoms of canine glaucoma?

We rescued a deaf Australian Cattle Dog. Her eyes don’t look quite normal. I’m wondering if she also has a congenital defect that might affect her eyes.

Definitely schedule a vet visit and have all possibilities checked out! Thank you for rescuing a dog that had medical problems as they are the least likely to find new forever homes! Bless you!
* An eye affected with glaucoma may be red, swollen, sore, or become clouded in appearance. There are two types of glaucoma seen in dogs: Primary glaucoma occurs when the drainage system is formed incorrectly and secondary glaucoma occurs when an animal has a normal drainage system, but that drain is blocked.
Your vet can perform routine assessment of your pet’s eye pressure with a fairly straightforward procedure. Since the most common time for inset of symptoms is between the ages of four and six, this is the time to establish an eye baseline.
If a pet is diagnosed to have glaucoma, immediate treatment is necessary to prevent the animal from going blind. Medication in the form of drops and/or pills may be used or in some cases, a surgical procedure is recommended*

finances for exploritory testing cannine does not need. thank you

Did they test for tick borne diseases such as lyme disease? This can give unexplained episodes of aggression. My vet does a heartworm test that includes 2 tick borne illnesses. They test all dogs even though we live in the city and may never have observed a tick on our dogs (you never know when you might have missed one).

Anyone have any experience with canine GME?

We have a 2 yr old rat terrier that has been tentatively diagnosed with Granulomatous Meningoencephalomyelitis. She’s in her 7th month with it and responded quite well to immuno-suppressive doses of prednisone. Our neurology vet suspects it may be an auto-immune disorder that is just mimicking the symptoms of GME (which is fatal and has no cure). She’s going through a 6-month round of chemotherapy (Lomustine).
It’s stressful not knowing if it’s GME and I’ll get home to find my puppy dead, or if the chemo will work and we may have 10 years or more ahead of us.
Has anyone else out there dealt with this?

No, so sad. Below is some information, though.
