pneumonia dog
My aunt spilled ear cleaner all over the dog. I was wondering if I can bath him if he has pneumonia? ?
My aunt and I were trying to clean the dog’s ears. He was fine with it but my aunt went a little cleaning happy and practically spilled half the thing all over the poor puppy. He’s 2 months old and he is trying to ward off pneumonia. He has kennel cough though. The ear cleaner is sticky I’m not quite sure what to do. =/
I would definitely NOT bathe him.
Try cleaning the ear cleaner off with a wash cloth dipped into warm water then wipe the fur.
You may have to work at this rinsing the rag and re wiping the fur but it will get it off.
Do not get the dog wet, just the fur and do not get water into his ears.
Dry him good with a warmed towel. You can warm the towel in the dryer for a few mins then wrap the pup in the warm towel and dry him.
Since he is so young, the pneumonia will be harder on him. Keep him warm at all times, feed him good quality food and follow the vets instructions. I am assuming you have taken him to the vet to get meds for the pneumonia.
